Casas Christian School will stage its second annual Casas Christmas Gala, featuring dinner, live music and silent auctions. The gala is a fundraiser to help the school build a new playground and provide scholarships.

The festivities go from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, 15000 N. Secret Springs Drive.

"The CCS playground equipment is nearly 30 years old, and we'd like to update our play environment to be more heat safe, creative, and accessible to the public to share with us," said  Eric Dowdle, CCS principal, in a news release. "But that takes a significant amount of money. Any donation or assistance would contribute to a gift for our school, church, and northwest Tucson children."

Admission is $75. To buy tickets, call 297-0922.
