Catalina State Park is participating in the Arizona State Parks' Family Campout, which teaches folks about camping and enjoying the outdoors.

The program runs Oct. 26-27 and Nov. 2-3. Mountain biking, archery, geocaching, birding and campfire stories are among activities that will be included. Campers should bring sleeping bgs, pillows and personal items. The park will provide tents, sleeping mats, food, drink and snacks.

Registration is $85 for a group of four, and the cost is $5 for each additional person. The park is on Arizona 77 at Milepost 81, six miles north of Ina Road. For more information, visit online.
