Canyon Del Oro High School's forensics teams succeeded at the Crime Scene Investigators State Challenge April 19 and 20 in Phoenix.

CDO's two teams placed first and third. They evaluated mock crime scenes, collecting evidence and conducting interviews to reconstruct and solve the crimes by applying skills they learned in school.

Sponsored by the Oro Valley Police Department School Resource Officer Program, the team receives funding from the Oro Valley Optimist Club and the Oro Valley Community Foundation.
