Canyon Del Oro High School teacher Christopher Yetman won a Math Hero Award from Raytheon Missile Systems.

Yetman was one of 35 math teachers nationwide to win the award, which came with a pair of $2,500 grants, one of which went to Yetman and the other to the school. The award goes to teachers "who have made great strides in instilling a love of math in students and for dedication to enriching math instruction in high schools across the United States."
