Ivana Fritzinger, a second-grade student at Legacy Traditional School, placed second in the girls U-8 division at the Arizona Elks State Soccer Shoot in Tempe on Nov. 10.

Fritzinger advanced to the state competition after winnin the Catalina Mountain Elks Lodge Soccer Shoot in Oro Valley and the South District competition in Tucson.

After her second-place finish at state, she won a trophy and a soccer ball. Arizona Elks Association president Ed Leuer and drug awareness chairman Jack Ponzo presented her with the prizes.
