Church hosts Alzheimer's workshop

Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church is hosting three workshops meant to help family members dealing with Alzheimer's disease.

Provided by the Alzheimer’s Association, Desert Southwest Chapter, the meetings will teach about the disease and how to care for patients.

The first meeting, which goes from 10:30-11:45 a.m. July 11 at the church, 3201 E. Mountainaire Road, will cover the disease's symptoms, risk factors and stages.

The free meeting requires reservations due to limited seating. To secure a spot, call 322-6601.
