The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance is bringing a treat for opera lovers to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Dubbed "The Opera Project," the event rounds up great works from the past for a sampler platter-style evening.

The show is 7:30 p.m. Jan 24 at the church, 1431 W. Magee Road.

The opears are collaborations between Alexander Pushkin and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, including "Eugene Onegin" and "The Queen of Spades."

Performers include soprano Vanessa Salaz, tenor Umberto Borboa and baritone Alejandro Banuelos, who have given performances in the U.S., Southe America and Mexico.

Admission is $20 for adults and $5 for students ages 8-18. For more information, visit www.saaca.org online.
