Five Coronado K-8 School students received bicycles for their classroom accomplishments, courtesy of the Achieve Program, sponsored by the Lions Club of Catalina/Oro Valley.

In the program, funded through a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, 246 students took part in before and after-school classes on core academic subjects, as well as the arts.

Students who participated for more than 30 days had their names entered in a drawing for the bikes. The winning students were in the first through fifth grades.

Winners were Mason Denogean, Elvis Tello, Ansley Brito, Cesar Garcia and Teyha Ballesteros.
