The portion of North First Ave. that extends east from Oracle Road will be permanently closed July 22. Motorists who access the nearby La Reserve residential area will need to use North La Reserve Drive.

Electronic message boards will signal the coming changes starting July 8.

After the closure, the Arizona Department of Transportation will adjust the timing of current traffic signals at the intersection of North Oracle Road and North La Reserve Road, as well as monitor traffic flow.

The closed area of First Ave. is on private property known as San Dorado and being developed by Kitchell Development Company.

Crews will remove the roadway that connects Oracle to La Reserve to make way for a new street in the San Dorado development.
