Thanks to financial backing by the North Tucson Firefighter Association, there will be free and low-cost swimming lessons for kids at the Catalina Community Center Pool, 16562 N. Oracle Road.

Registration for classes begins at 7:30 a.m. June 27 for the session that goes July 7-17. Another session will go July 21-31. Lessons are $20 per session, and classes are open to children six months old and up.

To apply for free lessons, visit the Golder Ranch Fire District office at 3885 E. Golder Ranch Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
