The North Tucson Firefighter Association and Catalina Community Center pool are offering free swimming lessons for Catalina residents.

Registration for lesson sessions begins at 7:30 a.m. June 28 at the pool, 16562 North Oracle Road in Catalina.

A lesson session runs from July 8 to July 18, followed by another that goes from July 22 to Aug. 1.

Classes are conducted by instructors certified by Red Cross. To apply for free lessons, visit the Golder Ranch Fire Administration Office, 3885 East Golder Ranch Drive, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. There are a limited amount of spots available.
