Kid-aimed concerts to sound off in Oro Valley

The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance is hosting a free monthly concert series in Oro Valley.

The performances are at 10 a.m. the first Saturday of every month at the Oro Valley Town Council Chambers, 11000 N. La Cañada Drive.

The program is funded by support from Irma and Keve Sankman, Bill Adler, the Oro Valley Community Foundation and the town of Oro Valley.

Here is the upcoming schedule:

June 7 — "All Aboard." The Civic Orchestra of Tucson will play songs, stories, sounds and rhythms inspired by trains.

July 5 — "Evans Family Musical Merriment." A multi-generational family plays cello, ocarina, violin, ukelele and other instruments.

Aug. 2 — "Traveling Through Time with the Great Composers." Oro Valley Music and Dance Academy plays pieces from well-known classical music composers of the past.
