Those looking to clean out their medicine cabinets can take advantage of a Dispose-a-Med program.

The Marana Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and several other groups are sponsoring the event, which goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 28. at the Target at 3901 W. Ina Road.

Expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications are eligible, but syringes are not. Students from the University of Arizona's College of Pharmacy, who will be supervised by licensed pharmacists, will be available to answer questions about medications.
