Oro Valley’s Sun Shuttle Dial-A-Ride, which locals can use to get around town, is proving popular.

The service, which melded the Coyote Run senior transit, Handicar parantransit and RTA Sun Shuttle circulator into one service last year, is catching on.

According to town data, ridership rate has grown at a rate of 61 percent from fiscal year 2012 to 2013. More than 32,000 riders use the system each year.

Riders can call a day in advance to arrange rides, as well as transfer to the main Sun Tran system.
