There are two vacancies on Oro Valley's volunteer Water Utility Commission, and applications to fill them are currently being accepted.

Applicants must be residents of the town, be customers of the Oro Valley Water Utility and be interested in water-related issues. The term of appointments goes from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2016. The deadline to apply is Nov. 1.

The seven-member commission advises the Town Council on matters such as water rates, policies and conservation efforts. The commission meets t 6 p.m. the second Monday of each month.
