The town of Oro Valley will name its 2013 male and female Volunteers of the Year in a December ceremony, and is currently seeking nominations.

Those who volunteered for town-sponsored programs or events are eligible. To nominate a volunteer, submit a nomination letter -- as well as a second letter from someone else -- to town spokeswoman Misti Nowak at mnowak@orovalleyaz.gov by Nov. 1.

The annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception ceremony will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort, 10000 N. Oracle Road. All nominees will have their names printed in the event's program. The town's Volunteer Selection Committee will determine the winners.
