Oro Valley will host a slate of free Independence Day festivities that start at 3 p.m. July 4 and lead up to a 9 p.m. fireworks display.

Live music — including Little House of Funk and the Bryan Dean Trio — food trucks, arts and crafts and a jumping castle will be available at James D. Kriegh Park, 23 W. Calle Concordia.

The fireworks are sponsored by the Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort.

Also, the Oro Valley Aquatic Center, which is located in the park, is offering discounted rates of $2 admission for adults and $1 for children. The center will hold contests and games.
