Picture Rocks Community Center is showing off its new look July 16, reopening following a renovation.

The center was one of eight community centers in Pima County to undergo a combined $1.3 million in renovations. Upgrades include ceiling tile replacement, interior and exterior painting, upgraded flooring, energy-efficient lighting and a renovated multipurpose room. The center offers programs for families, summer recreation and after-school programming, a computer lab and educational and recreational activities for the community.

The reopening event starts at 6:30 p.m. July 16 at the center, 5615 N. Sanders Road. There will be tours and an ice cream social.
