Picture Rocks continues push for public transportation with survey

The Picture Rocks Community Conversation, a community group that advocates for social issues in the area, is attempting to show there's a need for public transportation by conducting a survey.

Working with the Regional Transportation Authority — which paid for the survey — and other local groups, the organization is collecting data about transportation needs of those in the community.

Those who are 14 and older and live in Picture Rocks, an unincorporated community near Saguaro National Park West and North Sandario Road, can participate.

"We hope this will give us a better understanding of the community needs and move us closer to having public transit as an available option for our neighborhood," said Picture Rocks social advocate Dot Esler, via email.
