Publisher 10/13 Communications LLC has bought three publications, including the Marana News, from Tucson West Publishing Inc., a division of News Media Corporation.

Foothills News and Desert Times, along with the websites related to the publications, were also sold to the company. The sale went into effect April 2, the East Valley Tribune reported.

The Marana News will change its publication cycle from monthly to weekly, while the Foothills News and Desert Times will remain monthly. East Valley Tribune, Glendale Today and the Explorer are among other papers owned by 10/13. News Media Corporation continue to publish more than 70 community papers around the country, including the Arizona Silver Belt and Copper Country News.
