Young Russian musicians are crossing the pond to perform at a northwest side church.

Moscow Nights/Golden Gates, a group of Russian and Georgian musicians and dancers, will put on a show at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1431 W. Magee Road, at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28.

Founded in 1993, the group performs pieces based on Russian folklore and hinges on audience participation. Performers range from age 12 to 21.

The performance is free, but an offering will be taken to benefit Russian orpphans.
