Tucsonans like to use San Diego as a vacation spot, but animals in the coastal city are reversing things and taking a trip to Tucson.

San Diego zoo exhibitors are bringing animals to the AAA Tucson West office, 6950 N. Oracle Road, from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 8. The event is free.

A kangaroo, laughing kookaburra, blue-tongued skink, cane toad and cockatoo will all be there to promote the zoo's Australian Outback exhibit, which will open Memorial Day weekend. The zoo folk will give away door prizes, including two San Diego Zoo gift baskets.
