Tortolita Middle School’s TV Broadcasting & Video Production students took the three top spots in the 2013 Step Up, Speak Out, End Bullying PSA Contest April 27 at the Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway.

The event showcased student-made public service announcements.

Mikayla Curcio won the grand prize, an iPad Mini, and the opportunity to have her video, titled “What if that were You?” air on Cox Cable TV this fall.

Alison Plocki was runner-up for “What will they Think?” and Cyan Cornett's video won the "radio ready" distinction for “Don’t Be Afraid.” Her PSA will air on KMXZ 94.9-FM this fall.
