Trico Electric Cooperative and Co-Bank combined to donate $10,000 to the Marana Community Food Bank. Trico gave the Food Bank a $5,000 grant earlier in the year and Co-Bank matched that amount Sept. 24.

The food bank will use the funds to meet growing community need for its emergency food boxes.

“The Food Bank will turn this donation into nearly $45,000 of food for our clients. We are so thankful to Trico and Co-Bank,” said Marana Community Food Bank Executive Director Linda Hampton, in a news release.

Trico is a not-for-profit electric cooperative that serves 40,000 Southern Arizona customers, and Co-Bank is a national cooperative bank that works with Trico and other industries in rural areas.
