The Western National Parks Association Announces will honor retired Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O'Connor in a March 15 event.

Billed as the "Sandra Day O'Connor and the National Park Experience," the program starts at 5:30 p.m. March 15 at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, 10000 N. Oracle Road.

Along with O'Connor, Milton Chen and Don Swann will be honored for their conservation work and philanthropic efforts on behalf of America's national parks.

Chen is currently a senior fellow and executive director emeritus of The George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF), working to create educational experiences for children. Swann is a wildlife biologist at Saguaro National Park and has worked to support research in the national park system.
