Downtown, you'll find a collection of people living in the same space, going about their business oblivious to each other, just a wall apart.

I was covering Tucson's bluegrass band, Run Boy Run, at the Congress Hotel. Backstage is tiny, just a short hall with musicians moving equipment in and out through the back door.

After making some photos of players hanging out outside, I turned to go back in and caught this moment. While the band warms up inside, folks meander along the sidewalk. I'm absorbed in the story of the band and wonder if the folks walking by are coming to the show. Then I realize they are in their own space. Doing their own thing. Just a wall apart.

Look for the story and more photos in tomorrow's Caliente.
