The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of a man who was found dead Monday on the far west side.

Just before 6:30 a.m. deputies responding to a call of a man down in the desert near San Joaquin Road and Snyder Hill Road, found the body of 22-year-old Fabian Maldonado-Leon, Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department, said in a news release.

Maldonado-Leon had “obvious signs of trauma,” but the department released no other information.

Anyone with information about Maldonado-Leon should call 88-CRIME or 911.
