Pinal County sheriff’s investigators are looking for a suspected child molester.

Robert Richard Guardiola, 43, was being investigated for sexually abusing two Florence girls for several years, Tim Gaffney, spokesman for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, said in a news release.

The investigation began Sept. 19, when a girl and her mother made a report to the sheriff’s department.

“As detectives began investigating this case, an additional victim was identified who also reported she too had been sexually abused and molested by Guardiola over several years,” Gaffney said.

The victims were both under the age of 14 when the alleged crimes were committed and Guardiola has family ties to both victims.

Guardiola, who disappeared after detectives began investigating the two cases, is described as 5-feet-6 and 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a black BMW with Arizona registration BCN7751.

He was previously arrested for possession of marijuana, Gaffney said.
