The Pima County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man suspected of robbing a clerk at a southwest-side store at gunpoint and then fleeing on an ATV Sunday evening.

The robbery happened around 6 p.m. at the Family Dollar, 2820 W. Los Reales Road, near South Cardinal Avenue, Chief Deputy Chris Nanos said in a news release.

An armed man entered the store, pointed a weapon at the clerk and demanded money, the release said.

The clerk gave the man an unknown amount of money and he ran toward the Circle K next door and got on the back of a white ATV, the release said.

The suspect is described as being in his late 30s to early 40s and standing 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, khaki shorts, a khaki baseball cap and sunglasses.

The driver of the ATV was wearing a red shirt.

Anybody with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME (882-7463).
