A 43-year-old man was struck and killed by a car whose driver was intentionally chasing him, South Tucson police say.

The slaying occured in an alley neaar South Fifth Avenue and 31st Street, police said in a news release. South Tucson police officers found the man there at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a man being struck by a vehicle. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name wasn't releasing pending notification of family. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver, small, possibly foreign-made four-door sedan, which sustained substantial damage to both the left front and left rear. 

It appears that the chase covered several blocks and there may be additional witnesses yet to come forward, South Tucson police said.

Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
