A Tucson man and his teenaged son are facing burglary charges after deputies say they arrested the pair outside of a home in the Catalina Foothills.

Also arrested: The man's girlfriend. Deputies say she and her tot were waiting in the getaway car.

The incident started shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday when deputies raced to the 3600 block of North Soldier Trail in response to a 911 call about a burglary in progress.

Deputies arrived within four minutes, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says in a news release.

They found Shannon Spooner, 39, behind the wheel of a Pontiac G6 that had been backed up to the home's garage. Her 1 1/2-year-old daughter was in the passenger seat.

Deputies blocked the car and Spooner surrendered.

Moments later, Sonny Conrad, 43, and his 15-year-old son ran out of the front door. They too were arrested, the release said.

Deputies say a back window was smashed to get into the house.

Conrad was booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and child abuse. His son, who was not identified by the Sheriff's Department, is facing a juvenile charge of second-degree burglary.

Spooner was jailed on suspicion of conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and child abuse.

State Child Protective Services has been notified.
