Crews from Tucson fire battled a blaze that damaged an abandoned house in the 1100 block of South Osborne Avenue near, West 22nd Street and Interstate 10, Sunday morning.

An abandoned house on Tucson's west-side was damaged by a fire Sunday morning. 

Crews from Tucson Fire Department were called to the fire in the 1100 block of South Osborne Avenue, near West 22nd Street and Interstate 10, shortly after 5 a.m., Capt. Chris Jurvig, an agency spokesman said in a news release. 

When firefighers arrived the found smoke and flames coming from several windows of the house, the release said. 

Crews extinguished the fire and used high-powered fans to remove smoke and toxic gases from the house, the release said. 

Nobody was injured. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
