An abandoned house on Tucson's west-side was damaged by a fire Sunday morning.

Crews from Tucson Fire Department were called to the fire in the 1100 block of South Osborne Avenue, near West 22nd Street and Interstate 10, shortly after 5 a.m., Capt. Chris Jurvig, an agency spokesman said in a news release.

When firefighers arrived the found smoke and flames coming from several windows of the house, the release said.

Crews extinguished the fire and used high-powered fans to remove smoke and toxic gases from the house, the release said.

Nobody was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
