A telephone book set on fire damaged a vacant midtown home late Saturday night.

Neighbors called 911 around 11:30 p.m. after seeing flames coming from a home in the 6200 block of East Bellevue Street, near North Wilmot Road and East Speedway Boulevard, according to a news release from the Tucson Fire Department.

Neighbors broke a window in the home and extinguished the fire was a garden hose before firefighters arrived, the release said.

The fire caused an estimated $2,000 in damage.

The investigation is ongoing.
