A single-wide trailer being used as an office was destroyed by fire Thursday.

The trailer, at 29970 E. Pecan Road north of Red Rock and East of the Interstate 10, was fully engulfed in flames when crews from the Avra Valley Fire District arrived on scene, Patrick Calhoun, spokesman for the department, said in a news release.

“Next to the trailer on fire was a masonry constructed bathroom facility that was starting to catch fire,” Calhoun said.

It took nine firefighters 10 minutes to control the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Calhoun said.

Damage is estimated at about $50,000.
