Fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze Friday afternoon in an unoccupied house on the northwest side.

Northwest Fire crews were dispatched at 3:40 p.m., to a home in the 1900 block of West Hadley Drive near West Wetmore Road and North La Cholla Boulevard.

The found debris burning inside the smoke-filled house, Capt. Adam Goldberg, spokesman for the Northwest Fire District, said.

It took firefighters 11 minutes to extinguish the blaze. Fire damage was limited to two rooms, but smoke damage occurred throughout the house, Goldberg said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
