A car carrying six people and bundles of marijuana rolled on Interstate 19 Wednesday morning while trying to evade U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

The rollover occurred just before 8 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-19 near the San Xavier exit, Raul Garcia, spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said in an email.

The car was traveling in excess of 120 miles per hour before it rolled, Garcia said.

Three of the six occupants had minor injuries, Garcia said. One fled the scene and DPS officers were searching for him.

The five others were taken into custody. One is a U.S. citizen and four are “undocumented aliens,” a Customs and Border official said in an email.
