Deputies are looking for a knife-wielding man who assaulted a couple outside a south side market last month.

At about 7:15 p.m. April 17, deputies were called to the parking lot of the Samrose Market, located at 5710 S. Camino Verde south of West Drexel Road, about a man who assaulted two people with a knife.

Deputies learned the suspect pulled a knife on a man and a woman over a misunderstanding between the two men, Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, said in a news release. The suspect was with a woman who is not believed to be involved. The victims were not injured during the confrontation.

The suspect is described as white, between 20 and 30 years old, bald and 5-foot-4 inches tall with a medium build. He has tattoos covering both arms. He was wearing a black tank top and black shorts.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect should call 88-CRIME or 911.
