A man wanted for questioning in a weekend shooting turned himself in Friday and faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder.

Rene Francisco Bravo, 35, was wanted in connection with a shooting that took place just before 2 a.m. Saturday at the Palo Verde Bar and Grill, 5801 S. Palo Verde Road, near East Drexel Road.

When deputies arrived at the bar, they learned two men and a woman were attacked as they left the bar following a birthday party, said Deputy Tracy Suitt, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

During the attack, two men pulled out pistols and fired at the victims, and then continued assaulting them before they left.

The injured men, ages 31 and 36, and the injured 27-year-old woman were taken to the University of Arizona Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The 6-foot-3, 360-pound Bravo was booked into the Pima County jail and faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with serious physical injury and misconduct involving weapons by a prohibited possessor.

Bravo previously served three years in prison for aggravated assault and was released in 2010.
