A man wanted in connection with a child-porn case was taken into custody by federal authorities at an east-side apartment complex Thursday.

Mark Grimes, 46, who is facing 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, was booked into the Pima County jail, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

Grimes was arresed by U.S. marshals without incident, Widmer said.

Grimes was supposed to surrender to police Sept. 27, but failed to do so.

The investigation began in August after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told police that child pornography was being shared from a Tucson email address.

Police linked the adress to Grimes and served a search warrant on his home in the 6700 block of East Barrow Street, near South Kolb and East Escalante Roads.
