The Oro Valley Police Department gave notification Friday about a  Level 3 offender moving into the town.

Antonio Alejandro Neira, 28, was convicted of possession of child pornography in 2008. He is white, 5-feet-7-inches tall, weighs about 350 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.

He is living in the area of West Lambert Lane and North La Cañada Drive.

“This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community,” Lt. Kara Riley, spokeswoman for the OVPD, said in a news release.

Arizona Revised Statutes require law enforcement agencies to “inform the public when release of information will enhance public safety and protection,” she said.
