A man wearing a fake beard as a disguise robbed an Oro Valley bank Tuesday evening.

At about 5:15 p.m. the man entered the bank at the intersection of North Oracle Road and First Avenue, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. He left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Lt. Kara Riley, spokeswoman for the Oro Valley Police Department, said in a news release.

The robber was described as a black man standing between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot4-inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black, long-sleeve sweatshirt with a Bob Marley emblem, wearing dark gloves, and a tan floppy hat.

“It is believed the suspect was in the area for quite sometime prior to the bank robbery,” Riley said.

Anyone with information should call 911, 88-CRIME or the OVPD at 229-4900.
