A Marana woman was killed Monday morning in a rollover outside of Phoenix.

Barbara Ann Coatsworth, 63, was a passenger in a vehicle headed west on Interstate 10 west of Tonopah, said Raul Garcia, spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The vehicle, in the left lane, began to drift into the right lane. When the driver swerved back to the left, he overcorrected and lost control. The vehicle swerved off the interstate and onto the dirt shoulder, where it rolled once and landed upright.

Coatsworth and the driver were wearing seat belts. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to a Phoenix-area hospital, where he was treated and released.

Coatsworth is the ex-wife of Marana Mayor Ed Honea.
