Tucson police have released the names of the husband and wife who died in a murder-suicide.

Elmer Frisby, 51, shot his wife, 50-year-old Guadalupe Alvarado before turning the gun on himself, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department. A handgun was found near the bodies.

The couple was last seen alive Wednesday evening. They were discovered at about 10 a.m. Thursday morning when their adult daughter returned home, Dugan said.

The family lived in a home in the 3100 block of West Vuelta de los Mineros, near the intersection of West Sweetwater Drive and North Silverbell Road.

No motive for the killing was released.
