A second man was arrested in connection with an April shooting at a south side bar.

Rolando Roman Sanchez, 27, was arrested Sunday night at a home in the 900 block of South Fifth Ave. northeast of Santa Rita Park, said Deputy Tracy Suitt, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s detectives found Sanchez after receiving a tip from the Tucson Police Department.

Sanchez was booked into the Pima County jail and faces one count each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misconduct involving a weapon by a prohibited possessor.

He was arrested in connection with the April 19 shooting at the Palo Verde Bar and Grill, 5801 S. Palo Verde Road near East Drexel Road.

Another suspect in the shooting, Rene Francisco Bravo, 35, turned himself into the sheriff’s department April 25.

Two men and a woman were attacked at the bar at about 2 a.m., as they were leaving a birthday celebration, the sheriff’s department previously reported. During the attack, suspects Sanchez and Bravo are accused of pulled pistols on the victims, shooting at them and continuing to assault them before fleeing the area.

The victims, men ages 31 and 36, and a 27-year-old woman, were taken to the University of Arizona Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
