One woman was killed and another injured during a shooting on Tucson’s south side last night, and deputies are looking for a man in connection with the incident.

Deputies found Augustina Soto, 25, at about 8:40 p.m. when they responded to a report of shots fired, Deputy Tracy Suitt, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, said in a news release. She was found sitting in the driver’s seat of a car in the 4900 block of East Butterweed Drive southwest of East Valencia Road and Interstate 10. Soto was dead when deputies arrived.

A female passenger in the car suffered a non-life-threatening injury in the incident and was taken to a local hospital. Suitt could not comment on the type of injury the woman had or provide her age.

Investigators are looking for Stephen J. Malone, 29, for questioning in the shooting.

Anyone with information reference this incident is urged to call 911 or 88-Crime.
