A 53-year-old man struck by a car more than a week ago in midtown Tucson has died.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Oct. 11 when a 2003 Saturn Ion traveling westbound on East 22nd Street struck a man walking northbound across 22nd Street at South Alamo Avenue, Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson police spokeswoman said in a news release.

The pedestrian, Eric Beier, was taken to the hospital. He died Sunday night.

The investigation is on-going.
