Pedestrian killed on Tucson's NW side ID'd

Authorities have identified the 48-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed while crossing a street northwest of Tucson Sunday evening. 

Luigi Marrottia, was crossing Ina Road at Shannon Road when he was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Ina around 5 p.m., according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department. 

The 50-year-old driver had a green light and told investigators he didnt' see Marrottia until it was too late, the release said. 

Marrottia died at the scene.
