One man was taken to a hospital after an officer-involved shooting occurred Wednesday night on Tucson's northwest side.

The shooting occurred in the 13500 block of North Thornydale Road, north of West Tortolita Springs Road, said Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, a spokeswoman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

No deputies were injured, Rodriguez said.

No further information was immediately available.
