Tucson police are asking the public for help in identifying an armed man in connection with a beer skip at a UA-area convenience store.

On May 18 shortly before 7 p.m., a man entered a Circle K at 3155 E. Speedway and picked up a 30-pack of beer from a display case, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

As he was leaving, he pointed a handgun at the clerk, Widmer said.

The man, who was captured on a surveillance camera, was described as Hispanic and between 40 to 50 years old. He was between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He weighed about 200 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing jean shorts, a plaid shirt and an orange knit cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
