Police have released the name of the victim in a fatal Wednesday night shooting at a northside apartment complex.

Brandon Luster, 28, was found just before 11 p.m. in the parking lot of the complex in the 2500 block of North Fontana Avenue, between North First and North Stone avenues.

Luster was suffering gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital where he died, Sgt. Maria Hawke, spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department, said in a news release.

“Officers on scene determined that one or more of the individuals involved had gang affiliations,” TPD spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer said.

The suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
